We explore the physics behind the fascinating properties of active particles such as motile organisms, model microswimmers and living matter. We probe them both at the individual and collective level and we do so by using theory and computations with equal measure.

Derek has been selected for the prestigious PMRF fellowship. This is a competitive award and Derek is one of the only two students from IISER Tirupati who have received it this year. Read more about Derek's work here.

German Physical Society (DFG) has accepted a grant to support our collaborative work with Prof. Holger Stark's group at TU Berlin, Germany. From our group, currently Vignesh works on this project. Read more about Vignesh's work here.

SERB, DST has accepted a Core Research Grant (CRG) for a combined project on active particles with Dr. Ravi Kumar Pujala as PI and Tapan as Co-PI. The grant funds a rare in-house collaboration between experiments and theory in the field of active matter.
